As a Director of the Lethbridge Real Estate Board, I recently attended the Alberta Real Estate Association’s Conference in Jasper, AB.

It is so interesting being a ‘leader’ and learning so much about how other Boards operate and how we are trying to adjust to the ever so quickly changing social media surge.

I attended many lectures. Some lectures were about social media and technology which was very insightful. My question to myself was “What would we as Realtors do without technology nowadays?” Up until 2004 MLS was viewed in Catalogue for inLethbridgeand not on the internet like today.

So many questions came to me as well as insights. I became thrilled with how many “older” Realtors were up on the Social Media and I had to smile when I thought of the challenges they have overcome in the long years of their careers. For me technology has always been a part of my career, but I realized I don’t change fast enough. I look forward to one day, possibly speaking in to my phone and as I do the offer automatically gets filled and when I say “Send” it goes to my client and Vice Versa. May be I should invent that App!
