THANK YOU!!!

I want to send out a BIG shout of THANKS to COREY WOLGEN!!!  He has graciously made a pledge/donation of $1000 towards my Big Brothers Big Sisters Climb for Kids.  Most of you know about my climb, but I just want to let you know a little bit about what I’m doing.  Mt Kilimanjaro is the largest mountain in Africa with the crater at the summit reaching 19339 feet.  I successfully reached the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro last year on Sunday, March 10^th, 2008 at 1:30 in the afternoon!  It took me 6 days to reach the peak during which I had to overcome sickness from parasites in my stomach.  But it was definitely all worth it once I summited.

As well as climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, I plan on going a week early to help out and work on the Linde School Orphanage.  Their classroom needs windows and doors installed.  As well, their kitchen needs a roof, doors and windows and a concrete floor poured.  I spent time with these children when I was in Africa last year and my heart went out to them.  At that time I decided I personally could do something to change their lives and make their world a little bit better for them. I would truly appreciate any monetary support you give me to help these deserving children. The funds I collect for the orphanage project will be used to purchase supplies to complete these buildings as well as pay the trades assisting me.  Or if you would like to donate items such as sandals, books, etc, please call me and I can let you know what is needed.

I appreciate all the support everyone is giving me and know the children in Africa and the children here in Lethbridge with Big Brothers Big Sisters appreciate it more!
